Fresh Market Continues Northern Virginia Expansion

Fresh Market is opening stores in the West End and Falls Church as part of its mid-Atlantic expansion.

The Fresh Market has set its sights on Alexandria’s Bradlee Shopping Center and now continues its mid-Atlantic expansion into Falls Church.

The high-end grocery store plans to move into the site vacated by Giant at the Bradlee center and plans to anchor a mixed-use development in Falls Church to open in fall 2014, reports Washington Business Journal.

In Falls Church, it plans to lease 24,000 square feet of retail space at the intersection of South Maple Avenue and Washington Street.

The Greensboro, N.C.-based store has been expanding in the area in recent  years. There are Fresh Markets in Vienne and Rockville with two others planned for Ashburn.
