Families, children and young adults were filled with campaign spirit Saturday during a “Vote Now!” picnic for President Barack Obama at Ben Brenman Park.
Some Obama supporters brought their dogs to the event, which encouraged people to vote early through in-person absentee, if possible. Campaign volunteers signed up local residents to work canvassing shifts and passed out stickers and buttons.
Actress Julianne Moore also spoke briefly to the crowd, prompting cheers, and fans crowded around the actress for photos.
