City Council, Mayoral Forum to be Held Oct. 2

Several neighborhood civic associations, along with the Alexandria League of Women Voters and the Old Dominion Boat Club, have allied to co-sponsor a debate at George Washington Middle School.

The Old Dominion Boat Club has partnered with several civic associations in  hosting a council candidate and mayoral debate Oct. 2, and the previously announced venue has changed, as well.

The boat club, along with the North Old Town Independent Citizens Civic Association (NOTICe), North Ridge Citizens Association and the Rosemont Citizens Association have joined the Alexandria League of Women Voters as co-sponsors.

The event will begin with a forum for the two mayoral candidates—incumbent Democratic Mayor Bill Euille and Andrew Macdonald, who is running as an independent.
