UPDATED: Alexandria Police Confirm Robbery on Duke Street

Police have made no arrests in case.

UPDATE (12 P.M. FRIDAY)—Alexandria police said at about 3 a.m. Friday, two men robbed the 7-Eleven at 3023 Duke St. They were wearing dark clothing.

No weapon was used, and there were no injuries, said police spokesman Jody Donaldson. The robbers got away with an unspecified amount of cash.

ORIGINAL STORY (FRIDAY MORNING)—There was a robbery at 7-Eleven on Duke Street near the intersection with Cambridge Road, Alexandria police spokesman Jody Donaldson confirmed to Patch Friday morning.

There's no word yet on when the robbery occurred, if people were in the store at the time, if a weapon was shown, if anyone was injured, what was taken or what the robber looked like.
