Seminary Road and Highway Lane Closures This Week

Weather permitting, road crews will be closing lanes for striping, storm drain work and other construction around the Mark Center and along I-395, I-495 and I-95 this week.

BRAC/MARK CENTER PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures Monday - Thursday nights occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m.  and unless otherwise noted. Friday 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) west between I-395 and Mark Center Ave. - Left lane and left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for storm drain work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a left on N. Beauregard St., left on Mark Center Dr. and follow signs to Mark Center Ave.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east between I-395 and N. Beauregard St. - Single lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for median work, demolition and pipe work.

Daytime work - Closures occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted.

• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) west between I-395 and Mark Center Ave. - Left lane and left turn lane closed Sunday - Thursday for concrete work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a left on N. Beauregard St., left on Mark Center Dr. and follow signs to Mark Center Ave.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) west between N. Van Dorn St. and I-395 - Right lane closed Monday - Friday for median realignment.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east from N. Beauregard St. to I-395 - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for lighting work.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east ramp to I-395 south - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for lighting work. 
• Mark Center Ave. between Seminary Rd. (Route 420) and Mark Center Dr. - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for sign installation and excavation.

95 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Nighttime work - Closures occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• I-95 reversible HOV lanes from Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) to Duke St. - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday night from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. for barrier work and conduit installation. Traffic will be directed to use the general purpose lanes.
• I-395 north and south between I-495 and Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday nights for survey, barrier, drilling and guardrail work.
• I-495 Inner Loop and Outer Loop between Exit 54, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) to Exit 174, Eisenhower Connector Rd. -Mobile single lane closed Monday - Thursday nights for survey work.

Daytime work - Closures occur Monday - Thursday between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted.

• I-95/395 reversible HOV lanes between I-495 and Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for excavation, ground work and paving.
• I-395 north between I-495 and Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for clearing.
• Richmond Hwy. (Route 1) at I-95 - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for ground work.
