Lanes Closed Near Mark Center, HOV Lane Restrictions and More

Weather permitting, road crews will be closing lanes on Seminary Road near the Mark Center and on the I-395 and I-95 HOV lanes for construction.

95 EXPRESS LANES PROJECT

Overnight work closures are usually between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m., unless otherwise noted here. 

• I-95 reversible HOV lanes from Dumfries Rd. (Route 234) to Duke St. - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Friday night from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. for barrier work and conduit installation. Traffic will be directed to use the general purpose lanes.
• I-95 north and south from I-495 to Exit 163, Lorton Rd. (Route 642) - Two lanes closed Monday - Friday nights for survey work.
• I-395 north and south between I-495 and Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday nights for survey, barrier and guardrail work.
• I-495 north and south between Exit 54, Braddock Rd. (Route 620) to Exit 173, Van Dorn St. - Mobile single lane closed Monday - Saturday nights for survey work.

Daytime work closures are usually Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon, unless otherwise noted.

• I-95/395 reversible HOV lanes between I-495 and Prince William Pkwy. (Route 294) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for excavation.
• I-95 north and south between I-495 and Exit 148, Russell Road - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for ground work, barrier placement and equipment movement.
• I-395 north between I-495 and Exit 4, Seminary Rd. (Route 420) - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for clearing.

BRAC/ MARK CENTER PROJECT

Night closures are usually Monday - Thursday between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m., and Friday 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) west between I-395 and Mark Center Ave. - Left lane and left turn lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for storm drain work. Traffic will be directed to continue west, make a left on N. Beauregard St., left on Mark Center Dr. and follow signs to Mark Center Ave.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east between I-395 and N. Beauregard St. - Single lane closed Sunday - Friday nights for median work, demolition and pipe work.

Daytime work closures occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. to noon unless otherwise noted.

• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east from N. Beauregard St. to I-395 - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for lighting work.
• Seminary Rd. (Route 420) east ramp to I-395 south - Single lane closed Monday - Friday for lighting work.
