The Wireless Center Opens Beauregard Store

The new shop takes part of the spot where Blockbuster Video was located.

The Wireless Center, an authorized Verizon Wireless retailer store, has opened on Alexandria’s West End in the Shops at Mark Center.

The store officially opened Monday, and employees are still stocking the shop and hanging up signs. It is located in part of the space that formerly housed Blockbuster Video and is 2,300 square feet.

Verizon Wireless spokeswoman Melanie Ortel said the new store offers customers Verizon Wireless smartphones on four different mobile operating systems: Android, iOS, Windows and BlackBerry. The store also offers tablets, Jet Packs and other products and accessories, including a wide selection of 4G LTE devices for customers to browse and use to surf the web at fast speeds.

The Wireless Center’s hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
