Duke Realty Corp. Leases Mark Center Office Space

The Washington, DC, office signed 252,000 square feet in leases in first quarter.

Many businesses are staying put in Duke Realty Corp.’s office space in the Mark Center community of West end Alexandria.

Duke Realty’s Washington, DC, office completed 252,811 square feet in leases during the first quarter of 2013, as businesses committed to new leases, renewals and space expansions in the company’s office and industrial properties in the metro area. Mark Center office activity included:

  • At Mark Center, the Alexandria City School Board renewed its lease for 29,943 square feet in 2000 North Beauregard. Joe O’Brien and Ardell Fleeson with CBRE represented the school board in this lease transaction.
  • In 4900 Seminary Road, CNA Corporation and another long-term tenant renewed their leases, totaling 23,639 square feet.
  • Also at 4900 Seminary Road, General Dynamics renewed its 4,848-square foot lease.
  • The city of Alexandria Child Advocacy Center renewed its 10,012-square foot lease and expanded by 3,269 square feet in 1900 North Beauregard in Mark Center.
  • In 4825 Mark Center Drive in Mark Center, Avineon, Inc. extended its 10,827-square foot lease. John Duffy with Summit Commercial represented Avineon in this transaction.
  • In another renewal, Federal Management Partners will remain in its 2,886-square foot space in 1500 North Beauregard St. in Mark Center.
  • Also in 1500 North Beauregard St., Skyline Psychiatric Associates renewed its lease for 1,547 square feet.
  • CVR Management LLC signed a new lease for 2,475 square feet in 2000 North Beauregard in Mark Center.

Duke Realty currently manages and leases more than 3.5 million square feet of industrial and office properties and serves more than 150 tenants in the Washington metropolitan region.
