Happy Thursday West Enders! Almost to the weekend, hang in there. Here's some local happenings to make your day:
- Friend 'em: If you're one of many keeping tabs on the new restaurant going in at the old Chicken Out location and the new grocery store taking the place of the old Giant at Bradlee, you might want to friend the new Bradlee shopping center Facebook page. (What? You haven't friended us yet? Here we are.)
- First Day of School Haircut? If you're looking for a spot to get your little one's bangs cut just so, they're waiting for you at New Look Salon at the Shoppes of Foxchase.
- Gluten-free? Do you shop for gluten-free foods? You may want to hear more about West End Farmers Market's plan to bring gluten-free goodies to the market in September. They just announced it Wednesday.
- Restaurant Week. Don't forget to stop by one of your favorite Alexandria restaurants this week. Here's a list of all of the participating spots.
- Movie at the Library today: Beatley Central Library, 6:30 p.m. Be there, for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, rated PG-13. Thanks for posting it Katie!
