Police Reports: Fraud, Thefts in the Alexandria's West End

The City of Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the West End of Alexandria between in the past several days.

 

Note: The addresses listed below indicates blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Purse Stolen - 9:25 p.m. Feb. 5, 1700 block of Centre Plaza - Victim reported unknown suspect/s stole her purse, its contents and other items from her unlocked vehicle while she went to pick up a carry out order at this location. 

In separate and unrelated incidents: 

5:35 p.m. Feb. 4, 1200 block of N. Quaker Lane - Victim, a taxicab driver, reported he transported an unknown subject to the apartment building at this location and subject left without returning to pay the fare.

10:59 p.m. Feb. 5, 3300 block of King Street - Victim reported unknown suspect/s entered her vehicle by unknown means and stole her son's backpack containing his glasses, text books, homework and headphones.

7:47 p.m. Feb. 5, 3500 block of N. Jordan St. - Assault occurred between two people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other. 

9:02 a.m. Feb. 7, 1200 block of N. Quaker Lane - Victim reported unknown suspect/s smashed the driver's side door window of her vehicle and stole her car stereo and speakers.

7:14 a.m. Feb. 7, 4500 block of W. Braddock Road - Victim reported his vehicle stolen from a parking lot at this location. 

1:50 a.m. Feb. 8, 1700 block of Stonebridge Road - Victim of felonious assault was found at this location with a broken arm and a concussion. A known subject and resident of this address was taken into custody.
