Photo Gallery: Residents Protest Beauregard Plan

Nearly 2,500 homes are slated to be demolished under the Beauregard Small Area Plan.

Adults and children living in the Beauregard corridor held a candlight vigil and short march Monday night in protest of the Beauregard Small Area Plan.

The plans calls for nearly 2,500 apartments for predominately low-income residents to be torn down and replaced with new development. Protesters also spoke out against JBG Companies, one of the property owners.

The event was organized by the Beauregard Tenants Association and Arlandria-based Tenants and Workers United.
