The Alexandria Fuddruckers closure comes about a year after the Fuddruckers restaurant in Annandale closed to make room for a Walgreens. The Duke Street location was the site of hundreds of school fundraisers, post-game gatherings, birthday parties and tour bus stops.

The next closest Fuddruckers locations are in Fairfax at 3575 Chain Bridge Road and in DC at 734 7th Street NW.
