A school bus transporting students from Samuel Tucker Elementary School was involved in a minor crash Friday afternoon.

Alexandria police spokesman Jody Donaldson said the bus was stopped on Whiting Street, preparing to turn left onto Edsall Road, when a vehicle coming from another direction hit the bus and knocked off a bus mirror.

“I was really nothing,” Donaldson said. “It was minor.”

No one was injured or taken to the hospital, he said. The incident occurred at about 2:50 p.m.
