Alexandria Named ‘Best Foodie City in the South’

Alexandria is a winner. The city has been has been named the “Best Foodie City in the South” by ConventionSouth magazine in its list of the South's Best Foodie Cities.

Based on nearly 5,000 votes from ConventionSouth and destination fans, eight out of 30 cities made the list. Fellow winners are Memphis, Tenn., Charleston, S.C., Savannah, Ga., Baton Rouge, La., Jackson, Miss., Austin, Texas, and Dallas.

Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association says a big “thank you” to everyone who voted.

Alexandria got a boost when the West End Business Association, Del Ray Business Association and the Alexandria Convention & Visitors Association asked residents to forward the survey to friends and contacts and promote it on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social media outlets.

Alexandria will be featured in the May issue of ConventionSouth magazine.
