Alexandria City Schools Closed Tuesday
Hurricane Sandy closes schools for two consecutive days.
Alexandria City Public Schools will be closed for a second straight day, on Tuesday, due to Hurricane Sandy.
The school system made the announcement ahortly after 12:30 p.m. All school offices are also closed.
Code RED in effect for all employees. The city of Alexandria has declared a state of emergency due to expected weather conditions. All activities are also canceled.
